Unexpected laughter is a wonderful thing, but man can it throw you off.
My smirk-inducing joke earned rave laughter tonight. Why? I have NO idea. But it proved so distracting that I was thrown off of my mark completely, and neglected to introduce 3 of the 6 colleagues I'm responsible for pointing out because of it. Luckily, I remembered the big whigs and was able to introduce the others later.
Still... c'mon. Good grief.
